The most furthermost house on the Isle of Jura looking at the Corryvreckan, the most challenging project we have undertaken in terms of location a near 7 mile single track peat road up to the house on the Barnhill Estate owned by the Fletcher family, Full strip and relate of the old barn roof including extensive timber joist replacement, wall plate replacement and major sarking repairs including redesign of the roof where it ties into the small barn roof. Slates striped were dressed and sized and laid to one slope and the makeup came from slates recovered from a previous barn demolished. New cast iron gutters and rainwater pipes fitted. All completed in 4 weeks. Accommodation was staying in the famous Barnhill house within the estate.
